TAIPEI. Ever Rich Duty Free has opened a luxury boutique hall in the latest phase of renovations at Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 2. An ultimate US$99 million project to transform the terminal’s retail and dining spaces began last year, as reported, after Ever Rich won the tender for a new contract.
The new fashion & accessories zone spans 1,653sq m and houses boutiques for leading luxury brands such as Gucci, Moncler, Saint Laurent, Tod’s, Chloé and Montblanc. Ever Rich Duty Free has also introduced French designer brands Roger Vivier and Balenciaga to Taiwan’s travel retail market for the first time.

The luxury zone is centrally located in the C area of Terminal 2, just after immigration and security. It complements the core category duty free zone renovated in phase one, as well as a new F&B offer.

The retailer said: “Taoyuan International Airport’s newest fashion gateway allows travellers easier access to the world’s top luxury collections. This fashion hall aims to impress travellers with an elite yet comfortable shopping experience.
“The architectural design is a bold attempt to highlight the timeless details of the building. The entire area is floored with upscale marble. This seamlessly smooth layout provides an elegant ballroom look. Ever Rich has also imported special ceiling materials from France which provides natural lighting that creates a bright and non-oppressive environment for the shopper.”

As reported, Ever Rich partnered with London-based The Design Solution to create a walk-through commercial space airside featuring a strong Sense of Place.
Of the renovation phases completed at T2 to date, the retailer said these “highlight Ever Rich’s proficiency and commitment to improve Taoyuan Airport’s infrastructure and commercial enterprises. Ever Rich believes that the airport is not only the start or end of a trip; it is a part of the journey.”
