GERMANY. Gebr Heinemann has opened three new convenience stores at Frankfurt International Airport Terminal 2, under the Quicker’s brand name. The stores are located after the security checkpoint in the terminal.
The aim of the stores is to offer “one stop shopping” close to the gates, said airport owner and operator Fraport. They will provide passengers with newspapers and magazines, books, sweets, drinks, plus a selection of pharmacy and body care products.
There are also coffee specialties and fresh snacks for immediate consumption, as well as a range of last-minute gifts. The offer is rounded out by a selection of best-selling duty free items.
Fraport said: “There are already convenience shops with different focuses at various locations around Frankfurt Airport. Site-specific shops optimally tailored to needs in each case are an integral part of the convenience strategy of Fraport’s retail management.”
