LVMH-owned beauty and fragrance house Guerlain has introduced two new scents to its Aqua Allegoria collection: Flora Salvaggia and Nettare di Sole.
Both fragrances are now available in worldwide travel retail.
The complete Aqua Allegoria collection features 14 fragrances created by Guerlain Master Perfumer Thierry Wasser and Guerlain Perfumer Delphine Jelk.
Flora Salvaggia, which translates as ‘wildflower’ was inspired by a wildflower field and offers fresh fruity melon top notes, wildflower accord, jasmine sambac and orange blossom heart notes, with white musk, violet and iris as its base.
Nettare di Sole or ‘nectar of the sun’ is a honey-inspired scent.
It blends Calabrian Bergamot, a floral heart of Magnolia, Rose and Jasmine Sambac with sweet honey accord.
Flora Salvaggia and Nettare di Sole are packaged in stylistically painted cartons, designed by American artist Michael De Feo, also known as ‘The Flower Guy’. De Feo is known for his stylistically-painted daisies which have brightened glossy magazines, art galleries and public spaces across the world throughout his 25-year career.

Guerlain worked with De Feo to create the packaging for the two new scents. De Feo took inspiration from one of Nettare di Sole’s key ingredient, Bergamot, and the greenery, sights and sounds he is surrounded by in New York City.
The two fragrances are supported by a striking visual campaign set in an enchanting garden. Its stars French model Constance Jablonski as the face of Nettare di Sole and Chinese model He Cong as the face of Flora Salvaggia.

Guerlain has long been committed to sustainable innovation and biodiversity protection, with a particular focus on the protection of bees. Bee honey is the core ingredient in Guerlain’s hero Abeille Royale skincare line. Bees have also inspired the brand’s Aqua Allegoria fragrance collection and have been a constant reference point since the creation of the Guerlain ‘Bee Bottle’ in 1853.
The ‘Guerlain for Bees Conservation Programme,’ is built on four key pillars: bee protection, bee welfare, bee repopulation and education on bees.
Since 2011, Guerlain has provided support for the Ouessant Island Black Bee Conservatory (ACANB) in Brittany.
From 2015, Guerlain has partnered with the French Observatory of Apidology (OFA) to promote beekeeping careers and develop hive stocks across Europe.
In 2018, Guerlain teamed up with OFA to open ‘Bee School,’ a youth awareness programme that educates children about bee conservation. The beauty house has also announced plans to expand the Bee School in 2021.
As reported, Guerlain recently launched the Women for Bees programme in partnership with UESCO and OFA. Women for Bees is a five-year project that will offer training and education for aspiring female beekeepers within UNESCO biosphere reserves.
