QATAR. Today’s images come from Hamad International Airport, where Omega has taken one step for mankind and a giant leap for Swiss watchmaking.
The luxury watch house is promoting the fourth-generation edition of its hero Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch with a striking installation in the South Node.
The animation recreates the famous Apollo 11 Moon landing of 1969, albeit with an Omega twist. The pop-up features an Omega Moon buggy and golden statues of Commander Neil Armstrong and Lunar Module Pilot Buzz Aldrin, serving as the perfect photo opportunity for travellers in Doha.
The fourth-generation Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch is one of Omega’s bestselling timepieces.
Its most recent update was inspired by its own historical design and now features Master Chronometer certification, providing even more reliability.
The timepiece features an asymmetrical 42mm case in stainless steel – and is built in the classic style that was worn by Apollo 11 astronauts during the first Moon landing.

The ‘out of this world’ installation takes travellers to the Moon and back without ever having to leave the airport, while simultaneously promoting the history and watchmaking heritage of Omega. ✈
