Combining nature, art and digital storytelling, Rimba transforms dwell time into an immersive experience within the busy airport environment at Kuala Lumpur International

MALAYSIA. Today’s images and video, shared by design specialist Lead8, capture how Rimba at Kuala Lumpur International Airport engages passengers through a blend of nature, art and digital storytelling within a rainforest-inspired leisure space.

Located within the Satellite Building at Terminal 1, Rimba is a multi-sensorial exhibition that introduces a moment of calm to the terminal.

Spanning 970sq m, the open-air environment offers travellers a space to unwind, combining lush tropical plants, art installations and digital displays inspired by Malaysia’s natural and cultural heritage.

Described as a “living tribute to Malaysia’s rainforest” by Lead8, the Design Consultant for the project, the design taps into biophilic trends to make busy terminals feel more inviting and less rushed.
