Caribbean rum specialist Rhum Clément has appointed Kreol Retail as travel retail distributor for selected locations in the Middle East.
Kreol Group CEO Lal Arakulath said: “We are bringing an exotic lifestyle and a bit of Caribbean history to our customers.”

Rhum Clément has been produced on the French island of Martinique for over 130 years. It is listed among the Top 10 Trending Rum Brands in 2019 and is available in more than 80 countries.

Homère Clément purchased the 43-acre Domaine de l’Acajou sugar plantation in 1887 and went on to develop his Rhum Agricole production method. Every year, the distillery releases selected aged Rhum Agricole as part of its Grand Reserve portfolio.
Clément XO Rhum Agricole is aged a minimum of six years in a combination of virgin and re-charred oak barrels to offer a smoky aroma and lingering finish.
Rhum Clément Select Barrel is aged in oak barrels selected for their natural sweetness and aromatic qualities. The spirit is characterised by vanilla notes and a smooth finish, said the brand owner. Clément Rhum Vieux Agricole is aged a minimum of three years in virgin Limousin oak barriques and re-charred bourbon casks. The mahogany-coloured expression has a roasted cocoa bean aroma and mellow character.
Rhum Clément Export Director Matthieu de Lassus said: “We look forward to working with Kreol Group.” He said that Rhum Clément will be “the ideal choice for travellers looking for an exotic new thrill”, underlining the brand’s heritage and traditional production methods.
