Lancôme celebrates Trésor anniversary with La Nuit Trésor

Lancôme is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its Trésor feminine fragrance with a new version, called La Nuit Trésor (pictured). It is being previewed this month, as part of a key fragrance animation, at selected French airports. It will be rolled out to travel retail worldwide in March.

The fragrance concept was inspired by the tale of two stars, who are irresistibly attracted to each other to the point of collision. This rare phenomenon, which occurs just once a century, is said to create a shower of particles that regroup on contact with the atmosphere to create a substance known as black diamond.

The edp juice was composed by Christophe Raynaud and Amandine Marie. Key ingredients include rose (the emblem of the brand) and the Vanilla Tahitensis Orchid. They are complemented by lychee, praline, patchouli, benzoin resins and papyrus.

La Nuit Trésor is presented in a faceted glass flacon, the shape of which was inspired by the original diamond-like Trésor bottle, which made its debut in 1952. A black satin rose adorns the neck.

The face of the fragrance is Penélope Cruz. The ad campaign, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, depicts her being inexorably drawn to model Ilay Kurelovic.
