
Loch Lomond Group took 32 awards at the recent San Francisco World Spirits Competition, including a record 14 Double Gold medals across its portfolio.
The independent Scottish distiller, which can trace its roots back to 1772, offers a range of whiskies including classic single malts Loch Lomond and Glen Scotia, along with innovative single grain variant Spearhead, and its latest blended malt, Nobel Rebel.
The group’s global travel retail range placed highly in the competition, with exclusive expressions Loch Lomond 8 Year Old Madeira Cask, Loch Lomond 18 Old Inchmurrin and Glen Scotia Campbeltown Harbour 10 Year Old Cask Strength taking Double Gold Awards.
Loch Lomond 14 Year Old Inchmoan and Glen Scotia 1832 also claimed top honours. Gold medals are awarded to “exceptional spirits that are near the pinnacle of achievement”, with Double Gold presented to the entries that receive a gold medal rating by all members of the judging panel.
