MarketPlace Development opens first new outlets at LaGuardia Terminal B

USA. Airport retail developer MarketPlace Development has opened the first outlets in is ambitious renovation of the commercial offer at LaGuardia Airport Terminal B.

As reported, the company is rejuvenating the facility with the addition of several new speciality retail and F&B concepts, ahead of the construction of a new terminal next year.

Boutiques from Tumi, Lacoste and Eddie Bauer have opened on the Departures level in the centre of the terminal. The first F&B concepts include Sorrentine Panini Bar, Bowery Bay Tavern and Six Blocks Bakery.

The Centurion Lounge by American Express has also opened for card holders. Temporary ChargeBars have been installed in two store locations awaiting construction. Providing passengers with a space to work and charge their electronic devices from 10am-7pm daily.

LaGuardia Airport General Manager Lysa Scully said: “These new shops, restaurants, and amenities will enhance the travel experience, and we look forward to adding more dining and retail options for our travellers as we continue our overall initiatives to further modernise LaGuardia.”
