INTERNATIONAL. Luxury leathergoods company MCM continues to build its global travel retail distribution with new airport listings.
Gebr Heinemann is taking the MCM range for its shops at Copenhagen, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt airports. The brand moves into Copenhagen from May with a selection from the Spring/Summer 07 Collection.
Düsseldorf and Frankfurt follow from August with the new Autumn/Winter 2007 range.
At Amsterdam Schiphol Mimex is giving MCM two 6sq m spots from July, again kicking off with items from the new Autumn/Winter collection.
In the Middle East MCM has secured a 2.5sq m personalised corner with Bahrain Duty Free from July. A selection from Spring/Summer 07 goes into Kuwait airport this month (March).
“In addition to this confirmed new business, we are expecting to be able to announced further new listings both on the ground and inflight in Europe, the Middle East and Far East very soon,” said Global Travel Retail director Gerry Munday.
