USA. Denver-based family- and minority-owned travel services concessionaire Mission Yogurt has been named as one of the ten recipients of Denver Business Journal’s 2023 Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Awards.
The winners are featured in the publication’s June issue and will be recognised at a special awards reception.

This award was founded to honour businesses that are promoting authentic DEI initiatives in the workplace. It highlights businesses and individuals who champion diversity in all forms, including age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity and religion.
Award nominees were evaluated by a panel of DEI experts on their achievements, community impact, reason for nomination and key differentiators.

Mission Yogurt Owner and President Rod Tafoya said: “We are honoured to be chosen for this award. As evidenced by our strong, diverse executive team, Mission Yogurt, Inc. has long advocated for diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace, and we think this will only help continue to make our workforce stronger.”
Tafoya received the award for Minority-Owned Business of the Year in 2015 and he was also inducted into the Colorado Latino Hall in 2016.
Besides fostering DEI values in the workplace, the company is a member of the Airport Minority Advisory Council.
It has also been active in its charity efforts with its non-profit fund, Mission Cares, which supports employees who face unforeseeable hardships. ✈
