Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji new T2 to be inaugurated on Friday

Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh will inaugrate the much-anticipated Terminal 2

INDIA. Mumbai’s much-anticipated newly integrated Terminal 2 at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is being inaugurated this Friday by India’s Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.

Mumbai International Airport Pvt Ltd (MIAL) Executive Vice Chairman GVK Reddy and the MIAL board will also be present during a red-letter day for Indian aviation.

T2 will initially serve international flights with domestic operations to be added later. The new facility covers 439,000sq m and will be able to accommodate 40 million passengers per year, domestic and international combined.

It will offer over 21,000sq m of retail, food & beverage and other consumer services, including core duty free (Aer Rianta International and Buddy Retail) and fashion/luxury/lifestyle retail (The Nuance Group).
