NETHERLANDS. Passengers at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol who want to get their shoes shined before leaving the airport or boarding a plane can now do so.
Irish shoe shine company Buff Stop has set up two sites at the airport – one adjacent to the flower shop in Departure Lounge 2 and the other near the entrance to Murphy’s Irish Pub on Pier D.
Four leather seats are available for customers at each site, and passengers can read complimentary newspapers while getting their shoes shined.
The service takes between 5 and 10 minutes, and Angelus shoe care products are used.
A standard shine costs €5.00 while an extensive shine costs €7.00.
