AUSTRALIA. Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI) has named SIXT as its latest car rental partner as preparations continue for the start of passenger flights from 25 October.
SIXT joins previously announced partners Hertz, Avis, Budget, Europcar and Redspot as part of the car rental offering at Sydney’s new 24-hour international gateway.
WSI CEO Simon Hickey said, “We’re focused on making every part of the journey through WSI simple and convenient, and that includes giving our customers plenty of choice in how they continue their journey once they arrive.”

He added, “With SIXT onboard, WSI can offer travellers their pick of the six top rental car providers in Australia, further strengthening the range of transport options available from day one.
“Whether passengers are travelling for business, visiting friends and family, or heading off to explore Western Sydney, the Blue Mountains and beyond, they’ll be able to get off their flight and on the road seamlessly.”
SIXT will open a kiosk within the terminal serving both pre-booked and walk-up customers with vehicle collection located in P1, a short walk from the terminal.

SIXT CEO Matthew Beattie said, “It is not often you get to help shape the transport experience for a brand-new international gateway, and we intend to make sure every SIXT customer’s first impression of this airport is a great one.”
WSI’s integrated ground transport offering also includes public bus links, taxi, rideshare and on-site parking. ✈
