AUSTRALIA. Brisbane Airport is offering its passengers the opportunity to snap a “˜selfie’ with world leaders during the G20 World leaders Summit in Brisbane on 14-15 November.
Located in the Domestic and International Terminals, “˜Selfie Centres’ invite passengers to be part of a traditional “˜official’ photograph, and are one of several free interactive installations at the airport during the summit. The Domestic Terminal is also hosting the La Boite Theatre Company, a chalk art extravaganza, and offering G20 flag tattoo give-aways.
As part of its long-term partnership with Crime Stoppers ( a community policing initiative), the Brisbane Airport Corporation will be distributing free coffee vouchers at peak times and a pallet load of Tim Tams for travellers potentially delayed by the movement of state aircraft.

Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) Head of Corporate Relations Rachel Crowley said BAC wanted to ensure the travelling public experienced some of the excitement of the G20 alongside the possible minor delays to their travel.
“The G20 Leaders Summit is a wonderful opportunity for our city, state and country, but it does mean it won’t be entirely “˜business as usual’ at the airport,” she said. “So we wanted to make sure travellers got a taste of the excitement and that the delegates and media coming from all over the world received a warm and friendly Brisbane welcome.”
Crowley said BAC had also teamed up with local ABC radio 612 listeners to select their top 20 favourite Brisbane books to give away to media and delegates departing Brisbane Airport’s International Terminal at the end of the G20. “We’re so grateful to 612 and the major publishers for getting on board with this idea. We think this will be a wonderful farewell gift from the people of Brisbane,” she said.
As reported, Brisbane Airport’s Windmill & Co restaurant is marking US President Barack Obama’s attendance at the Leaders Summit with a gourmet burger.
