B&S has introduced a new design and offer at the Schiphol crew storeNETHERLANDS. Travel retailer and distributor B&S has opened a crew shop at Amsterdam Schiphol, offering a service to flight attendants. The company recently took over the operation from Aviapartner and has developed a new store concept in partnership with Schiphol Group.
Schiphol Airport Senior Manager Commercial Services & Media Anne-Marie Zuidweg said: “B&S has proven to be an innovative partner that has shown it understands the vision of the airport, by implementing new concepts and services, offering advantages for both crew members and the airport itself.”
The new store offers jewellery & watches, beauty, liquor & tobacco, plus leisure and gifts ranges including souvenirs, electronics, sunglasses and confectionery.
The shop has been re-designed, resulting in what B&S called “an open, attractive area with a pleasant ambience”.
Special attention was given to the open façade, and to creating a visually appealing pathway. B&S added: “The shop meets the highest standards required for modern and demanding consumers. Clever use of floor space defines the routing and invites customers to browse the latest products and promotions, which change bi-weekly in order to serve frequent visitors. In the new store popular categories have been enlarged and marketing concepts such as ‘Top Selection’, ‘What’s New’ and ‘It’s Exclusive’ have been introduced and we will continue to set an example by providing new presentations on a regular basis.”
Leading brands such as Victoria’s Secret and Swarovski have been given larger areas. The store also features popular brands such as Chanel, Dior, Rituals, Lancôme and Hugo Boss.
B&S Retail Manager Sjoerd van Hout said: “We have developed a unique retail solution focused on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for crew members and are expecting to open similar stores at other airports.”
The new store enhances B&S’ presence at Schiphol; it also manages electronics outlets through its subsidiary Capi.
