Cellcosmet and CDFG bring Swiss-inspired skincare journey to cdf Sanya with immersive pop-up

Making a bold statement at cdf Sanya, the pop-up is designed to attract traffic with a distinctive Swiss-inspired setting that brings together Cellcosmet’s cellular science, luxury positioning and experiential approach

CHINA. Swiss cellular cosmetics brand Cellcosmet has teamed up with China Duty Free Group (CDFG) to bring a themed pop-up to the cdf Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex in Haitang Bay.

The limited-time activation showcases the brand’s latest innovation, the Soothing & Hydrating Mask, which is making its exclusive travel retail debut at cdf Sanya.

The campaign reinforces Cellcosmet’s expansion strategy in China travel retail, while combining prestige beauty with an elevated lifestyle-led shopping experience.

Bringing together Swiss innovation and sensory rejuvenation, the pop-up creates an immersive experience tailored to high-net-worth consumers.

Inspired by Switzerland’s classic trains, the animation’s main structure recreates their distinctive form, complemented by the country’s signature red-and-white palette, a Mondaine Swiss railway clock and Swiss road signs.

Alpine silhouettes are also incorporated into the design, creating a striking Swiss-inspired landmark against Haitang Bay’s tropical coastal setting.

The concept also pays homage to Cellcosmet’s Swiss heritage and four decades of cellular science, while capturing the idea of a journey through time and space, bringing the restorative energy of the Alpine foothills to the tropical environment of Sanya.

A key highlight of the pop-up is the brand’s latest product development, the Soothing & Hydrating Mask CDFG, formulated specifically for sensitive skin following aesthetic procedures.

The formula combines helichrysum extract, red algae extract and shea butter to deliver targeted soothing and hydration for skin experiencing seasonal changes, sun exposure or post-procedure sensitivity.

Clinical testing shows immediate soothing and repair benefits, with the mask reducing redness by -13%, reinforcing the skin barrier by +28% and increasing deep hydration by +53% after just ten minutes.

Also featured is the Gentle Skin Soothing Set, an exclusive CDFG offering, pairing the Gentle Cleansing Milk and Soothing & Hydrating Mask for a complete ‘cleanse + repair’ routine.

The set is complemented by exclusive gifts with purchase and tiered benefits across multiple spending levels to drive customer engagement and spending.

Elevating the premium lifestyle experience

Maximising exposure through prominent advertising placements

The partnership extends the retail activation into Haitang Bay’s luxury hospitality scene, with Cellcosmet partnering with leading Haitang Bay resorts, including The Sanya Edition, The Westin Sanya Haitang Bay and Sheraton Sanya Haitang Bay Resort.

Customers reaching a designated spend at the Cellcosmet counter can draw a ‘Spa Mystery Box’ for a chance to receive a premium facial treatment, from revitalising care to more personalised treatments.

Designed to drive both engagement and social media visibility, the pop-up also encourages visitors to capture and share their experiences through photo moments set against the activation’s distinctive visual backdrop.

The campaign builds on Cellcosmet’s presence at cdf Sanya as the brand continues to gain momentum and strengthen its position in China’s premium travel retail market.

Looking ahead, Cellcosmet noted its commitment to expanding its China travel retail presence through continued collaboration with CDFG and introducing new products and retail experiences. 🏝️
