EGYPT. EgyptAir Duty Free Shops has launched its first ‘Spend “˜n’ Win’ summer promotional campaign at Cairo International Airport Terminal One, offering prizes to a total value of US$50,000. Individual prizes range from US$100 to US$1,000.
Throughout the campaign, which runs to 15 September, shoppers receive one scratch card for every US$100 spent in the shops.
The shops have been decorated with bright banners whose graphics show colourful summer scenes. The objective is to create a more inviting shopping atmosphere and to increase spend per head.
Aer Rianta International-Middle East has a management consultancy contract to operate the shops in partnership with EgyptAir. General Manager Michael Cashin told The Moodie Report: “Initial reaction from customers has been great. In the first ten days of the campaign 14 winners have been delighted to collect their prizes.”
