Heinemann Asia Pacific wins key Changi concession

SINGAPORE. Heinemann Asia Pacific has been awarded the concession to operate a 98sq m (1,055sq ft) wine & cigars store at Singapore Changi airport Terminal 2. The Singapore-based division of Gebr Heinemann was selected following a tender earlier this year, and signed the deal in August.

The three-year concession will take effect on December 1 2011, and landlord Changi Airport Group retains an option to extend the contract for a further two years.

The store will trade under the Vine & Leaf fascia, and will offer a full range of quality wines, premium cigars and cigar accessories.

The T2 concession is currently run by DFS Group, which is understood to have participated in the tender. LS travel retail ASPAC is also understood to have bid.
