IAADFS announces plenary conference session for Summit of the Americas

USA. The International Association of Airport and Duty Free Stores (IAADFS) has revealed details of the 2024 Summit of the Americas conference plenary session. It takes place at The Palm Beach County Convention Center, West Palm Beach, Florida on Monday 15 April as part of the event’s first day.

The conference’s opening remarks will be delivered by IAADFS Chairman Rene Riedi, who will share information on the activities, changes and future direction planned for the organisation.

He will then moderate a panel session titled ‘The Americas – Change and Promise’, which will focus on the evolving duty free and travel retail market in the Americas.

Sharing insights and observations as panellists in the session will be IAADFS Board Directors, Pernod Ricard General Manager TR Americas Greg Ford; Puig General Manager Travel Retail Americas Felipe Grant; Lindt Sales & Market Manager GTR The Americas Markus Suter; and ARI Chief Operations and Business Development Officer Nuno Amaral.

Ford, Grant and Suter have this week been announced as IAADFS’s first-ever supplier partners to have Board of Directors seats as voting members. Read the story here.

IAADFS noted that one additional panellist has been invited and confirmation is pending.

Riedi commented: “These individuals all have extensive knowledge of and experience with the duty-free and travel retail industry.”

The plenary session runs from 8.30am-10am and is open to all registered attendees. IAADFS will offer a light breakfast with coffee service prior to the start of the session.

IAADFS President and CEO Michael Payne said: “We have organised an informative and valuable panel discussion designed to provide our attendees with information on the current opportunities and challenges facing the industry.

“The intent is to structure this session as a conversational exchange with the panellists through a series of questions and answers; this dialogue approach will be engaging and the audience will find the content valuable.”
