L’OCCITANE Group is preparing for B Corp recertification in 2026 under the new global standards by B Lab.
The Group first achieved B Corp certification in 2023, formalising a philosophy long embedded in its mission: ‘With empowerment, we positively impact people and regenerate nature.’
The company said the B Corp framework continues to serve as a key benchmark, guiding its approach to governance, sustainability and stakeholder engagement.
Since achieving B Corp status in 2023, L’OCCITANE Group has sought to deepen the integration of responsible practices across its operations.
The assessment framework measures performance across governance, people, environment and community.
Within governance, L’OCCITANE Group has strengthened awareness of its Global Speak Up Policy through targeted internal communications, while environmental, social and governance performance remains embedded in board-level discussions.
In 2025, 99% of the Group’s global workforce received a certified living wage, reflecting L’OCCITANE’s stated ambition to support fair and responsible employment practices.

On the environmental front, the company has undertaken a third-party audit of its carbon assessment, enhancing the credibility and robustness of its climate reporting.
It has also increased engagement with Extended Producer Responsibility organisations across key markets to drive packaging recovery and circular economy initiatives.
L’OCCITANE Group has made progress in its nature-positive strategy, particularly through sourcing practices. The company confirmed that 100% of the key ingredients used by L’Occitane en Provence are now sourced from projects supporting organic and regenerative agriculture, contributing to ecosystem restoration while maintaining product quality.
L’OCCITANE Group Chairman and CEO Reinold Geiger said,: “From the very beginning, our ambition has been to build a company that performs well because it acts responsibly.
“As we approach 50 years of our heritage brand, recertification under the new B Lab standards reaffirms that this philosophy remains central to our strategy. Long-term profitability and positive impact must continue to progress together.”
With the 2026 recertification milestone approaching, L’OCCITANE Group has completed the initial phase of the process and is currently consolidating data and documentation ahead of formal submission later this year. ✈
