Over 400+ exhibitors confirm presence at TFWA World Exhibition

FRANCE/INTERNATIONAL. More than 400 exhibitors will take part in Tax Free World Association (TFWA) World Exhibition to be held at Palais des Festivals in Cannes from 1 to 5 October. TFWA said it has also booked strong representation from many retailers and airport companies, airlines plus ferry and cruise lines.

Key visitor groups attending include: China Duty Free Group, Dufry, Gebr. Heinemann, Duty Free Americas, Heathrow Airport, Lagardère Travel Retail, The Shilla Duty Free, Changi Airport Group and Lotte Duty Free.

Over 60 exhibitors are planning to make their debut at the Cannes event, which will also witness the return of several Asian companies following the lifting of travel restrictions in the region.

Among additions to the event this year will be an extension to the Ambassadors Village, and a new Majestic Beach Village.

As reported, TFWA will see the return of its i.lab – an ideas hub that shines a spotlight on innovative ways to engage the travelling consumer. It will have a more central location within the Palais des Festivals and the dedicated space will feature a lounge where participants can network and promote their ideas. TFWA i.lab will also include a pitching stage complete with audio/visual presentation screens.

The exhibition area will feature 15 exhibiting companies and all TFWA i.lab participants will be featured in the Discovery section of the TFWA 365 platform.

The TFWA ONE2ONE personalised meeting service will provide a platform for formal meetings between eligible exhibitors, retailers, landlords, agents and distributors, with onsite facilities available from 3 to 5 October.

Ahead of the event, delegates can arrange meetings and connect virtually through the TFWA Directories service via the Networking section of the TFWA 365 online platform. The Exhibitor Directory is open to all pre-registered visitors and the Visitor Directory is open to confirmed exhibitors.

Qatar Duty Free is the main partner of TFWA Lounge, while Mondelēz International and Santa Margherita are also TFWA Lounge sponsors. The event’s product distribution sponsors include Heineken, Crafters Artisanal Gin, Nemiroff, Duty Free Global, Quintessential Brands Group, Perfetti van Melle, Wonderful Pistachios, Seeberger and Food Accademia.

TFWA will host a Cannes Preview Webinar on the TFWA 365 online platform on 5 September at 10am. Delegates can register for this webinar by emailing tfwa365@tfwa.com or visiting the TFWA 365 platform.

TFWA World Exhibition & Conference returns once more to the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, with attendance expected to hit a post-pandemic high

TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen said: “The increasing number of leading brands and retailers that have confirmed their participation in the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference 2023 is very encouraging, and the list continues to grow.

“Both the quantity and quality of these organisations only increase our confidence in the success of this year’s event. It is gratifying to see familiar names of those who have been long-term attendees, alongside many first-time exhibitors and visitors.

“TFWA World Exhibition & Conference continues to prove to be an unmissable event for duty free and travel retail and we are very much looking forward to welcoming delegates to Cannes once again.”
