Toscow scores a hit onboard Northwest – 10/07/07

AUSTRALIA. Leading Australian company Toscow is celebrating after its 18ct white gold Tahitian Black Pearl pendant was named as the best-selling jewellery item in the Northwest Airlines inflight catalogue.

Toscow Business Development Manager Carmen Loh attributes the necklace’s success to its high quality pearls, contemporary design and competitive price.

Toscow’s Tahitian pearl jewellery is available onboard nine international airlines including Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways and China Airlines.

Onboard Cathay Pacific, Toscow’s South Sea Gold Pearl pendant shares similar success, Loh said, as it has ranked as one of the top sellers in the inflight jewellery selection since its launch in April this year.

Along with these achievements, Toscow fresh water cultured pearls continue their popularity among the company’s 46 international inflight listings. In addition to the company’s classic white pearls, Toscow introduced multi-coloured fresh water cultured pearls at the 2007 TFWA Asia Pacific exhibition in May.

The new pearl strand received “exceedingly positive” feedback during the fair and has secured several inflight listings, according to Loh.

“Despite the abundance of imitation pearl jewellery on the market, Toscow’s pearl jewellery continues to sell very well as customers consider it to be both valuable and attractive,” Loh said. “We aim to attain the highest pearl quality, to complement ever-changing market needs.”

In addition to its extensive pearl collection, Toscow also launched brand new designs for its Glitter Glamour collection at the 2007 TFWA Asia Pacific show.

The new line is adapted from the earlier Glitter Glamour collection, which was a hit with more than 20 airliners for over three years. The designs continue the concept of different coloured crystals but displayed in a larger three-dimensional form to cater for today’s fashion trend for chunkier jewellery, Loh explained.
